I have always wanted to do embroidery but it’s such a small and delicate skill set, I’ve always felt like a gorilla trying to work with something so small. However, I am going to give it an honest to goodness shot. However, I needed something I felt passionate about in order to stick with the project.
Enter Urban Threads who is by far one of the coolest places to find some nifty designs for hand stitching or even machine stitching. (You should check out the tutorial section as well. Some really awesome stuff. The lace up label is one of my favorites.) Having an affinity for owls, I went surfing and I was ecstatic to find they had one that really appealed to me. And for $1?? You know I snatched it!
It took some time to figure out my color scheme but I felt the owl wanted to represent Autumn so that is my color scheme.
